Derek Prince (May-25-2020) Sermon: Where Is The Spiritual Battlefield?
Like any army, the kingdom of satan also has a supreme weapon. With this weapon he is - if we would allow him - able to defeat us on the battlefield. What is this primary weapon? And where is the battlefield?
In this talk, Bible teacher Derek Prince points out that satan's main weapon against us is guilt. With this weapon he can strike us with deadly blows. He accuses us day and night (Revelation 12:10) and makes us feel guilty about the sins which we've committed in the past. But Jesus has also equipped us with weapons. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 tells us that we do not fight satan with carnal weapons (bombs, tanks, rifles etc.) but we use spiritual weapons.
We use these weapons to pull down strongholds. But where are these strongholds situated? Where is this war fought out? The answer that Derek Prince gives us is: the mind. Our mind is the battlefield. In the mind we built up strongholds against the truth. When for example guilt builds a stronghold in our minds, we might believe that God will not forgive us. We might think that He has forsaken us. Other examples of strongholds that Derek gives are Islam and Judaism. If we allow these strongholds to be built in our minds, we will no longer accept Jesus as the Son of God.
So how do we bring down these strongholds? Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 that we not only have to release peoples thoughts from satan's captivity, but we also have to bring these thoughts into captivity and make it obedient to Christ.

Christian Motivation - SPIRITUAL WARFARE | Put on the Armor of God. Whether we realize it or not, we are in a spiritual battle. Although spiritual warfare is unseen, it’s absolutely real. The Bible speaks of spiritual warfare in many places. Our best defense in this war is to remain close to Jesus and constantly use what He has given us. We must put on the full armor of God every day and be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.

Joyce Meyer (January-25-2019) Daily Devotion: You Have Spiritual "Power of Attorney".
Oh, how wonderful it would have been to have physically walked with Jesus. But He told His followers they would be better off when He went away, because then He would send His Spirit to dwell in every believer.
He told them that even though they were sorrowful at the news of His departure, they would rejoice again just as a woman has sorrow during her labor but rejoices when the child is born.
Jesus knew they would change their minds when they saw the glory of His Spirit in them and the power available to each of them through the privilege of using His name in prayer. He was literally giving to them—and has given to all those who believe in Him—His “power of attorney,” the legal right to use His name. His name takes His place; His name represents Him.
Jesus has already been perfect for us. He has already pleased the Father for us; therefore, there is no pressure on us to feel that we must have a perfect record of right behavior before we can pray.
When we come before the Father in Jesus’ name, we can confess our sin, receive His forgiveness, and boldly make our requests known to Him.
Prayer Starter: Father, thank You that I can come to You in Jesus’ Name! Right now, because of the authority given to me through Jesus, I lift up my needs to You and boldly ask for Your strength, guidance, wisdom and healing today—for me and my entire family. I ask this in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
