What was the mindset if Christ?
1. It is not driven by personal advantage or interests – Phil. 2:6
How can you avoid the trap of self-interest?
a. Exalt the interest of God above all else – Matt. 6:33
b. Exalt the interest of others over self – 1 Cor. 10:24
2. It is not driven by personal reputation or ambition – Phil. 2:7
3. It is the mindset of a servant – Phil. 2:7
4. It is the mindset of uncompromised obedience – Phil. 2:8

Therefore, every generation of believers are saddled with the responsibility of saturating their generation with the gospel – Jn. 4:34
To effectively advance the kingdom, we must:
1. Focus on Christ – Heb. 12:2
To keep our focus on Christ, we must:
a. Spend time with Him in the word – 2 Cor. 3:18
b. Spend time with Him in prayer – Phil. 3:10
2. Crucify the flesh – Rom. 8:13
3. Engage the force of boldness – Acts 14:3
4. Maintain joy in the gospel – Acts 20:24
