Stop making this mistake when evangelizing! - Ray Comfort, Frank Turek. In recent years there’s been a different evangelism technique being used than the one we see demonstrated by Jesus, Paul, and the prophets in the Bible. What is it, and why does it cheapen the true message of the Gospel? See what our dear friend Ray Comfort has to say about it during a recent episode of the HOPE One show!

Rick Warren (October-16-2022) Daily Devotional: God Can Use Your Mistakes for His Good.

“We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose.” - Romans 8:28 (GNT)

Let’s face it. You and I do foolish things from time to time. We make mistakes.

But nothing you’ll ever do is beyond the capacity of God to use. You may make mistakes, but God doesn’t.

The Bible says it like this in Romans 8:28: “We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose” (GNT).

When you make a foolish mistake, God promises he can use it for good.

I want to be clear, though. This isn’t a promise for everyone. The verse doesn’t say that God works everything out for good for those living in rebellion against him or for those who aren’t living for his purposes.

The promise is for people who come to God and say, “I want to live for your purpose. I don’t always get it right. But I want to do the right thing. I want to trust you, and I want to follow you.” Do that, and God will take it all and use it for his good.

That’s a reason for joy.

When you put your life in his hands, it doesn’t mean you’ll never goof up again. You’ll still make bad decisions. You’ll still mess up. But God can fit it all into his plans.

There is no plan B for your life. God knew all the mistakes you’d make before you were born. He also knew he’d fit those mistakes into his plan.

That means you can relax. You can stop being anxious. You can rest. Do your best with what God has given you. He will work everything into his plan.

Talk It Over

  • How have you seen God turn your mistakes into good? How have you seen him do that in the lives of others?
  • If you know that God can use anything for good, how does that help you let go of the mistakes of your past?
  • What step of faith will you take with the confidence that God is working for his good in your life?

Receive the joy of salvation today!

Remember, the Bible says that those who believe in Jesus have no reason for guilt and shame: “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1 NIV).

If you’re ready to accept that promise and live in the joy of forgiveness, then pray this prayer:

“Dear Jesus, you have promised that if I believe in you, everything I’ve ever done wrong will be forgiven, and I will no longer be condemned. Instead of judging me, you will accept me into your eternal home in heaven one day.

“I confess my sin, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you are God, my Savior. I receive you into my life as my Lord. Thank you that I don’t have to earn, deserve, or work for your forgiveness. It is your gift of grace.

“Today I’m turning over every part of my life to you. Instead of living in shame, I want to live in the joy of your salvation. I want to use the rest of my life to serve you instead of serving myself. I humbly commit my life to you, and I ask you to save me and accept me into your family. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

Joyce Meyer (January-30-2023) Daily Devotional: Mistakes Made—Lessons Learned

Many people today continue to fall back into the mistakes and patterns of their past. They keep going around the same mountain, time and time again, having to learn the same lesson multiple times.

Wisdom is learning from your mistakes and moving on. You don’t have to keep making the same error or keep failing in the same area of life—you can have victory once and for all!

Let’s say you lost your temper and yelled at your kids or your spouse yesterday. Well, that was a mistake. It’s not God’s best and you probably felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit the moment it happened. You have a choice to make. You can: 1) Be condemned for your mistake 2) Be glad you’ve been forgiven, but don’t bother to learn anything, or 3) Take your mistake to God and ask Him to forgive you and teach you from it. If you’ll choose to learn from your mistakes, you’ll begin growing in spiritual maturity, peace, and the joy of the Lord.

Prayer Starter: Father, anytime I start to compare myself with someone else, remind me that in Your eyes, we are all the same and You love me, amen.

Prophet TB Joshua returns to the Emmanuel TV Studios with a powerful sermon filled with valuable lessons of life titled, 'Mistakes Are Correctable'.

Joyce Meyer (February-28-2021) Watch Sermon: The Fear Of Mistakes. The biggest mistake that we can make is always being afraid that we're going to make a mistake.

Joel Osteen (February-02-2021) Daily Devotion: Miracles Out of Mistakes.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: “As for Ishmael…I will make him extremely fruitful and multiply his descendants…. I will make him a great nation.” Genesis 17:20, NLT

TODAY'S WORD: Abraham and Sarah had God’s promise of a son, but they took matters into their own hands, and Abraham had a baby with Hagar, Sarah’s maid. Ishmael was a mistake and brought extreme strife to their home. Yet, God spoke to Abraham that even though it was a terrible mess, He would make Ishmael great. And amazingly, it was descendants of Ishmael who came along at precisely the right moment and kept Joseph, Abraham’s great grandson, from dying in the pit when his brothers betrayed him (see Genesis 37). The mistake of Abraham became the miracle of Joseph, who helped save the rest of their family.

That’s how amazing God is. He knows how to bring good even when we fail and make a mess. God doesn’t turn His back when you make mistakes — just the opposite. He’ll not only help you clean up the mess you made, He’ll take it one step further and make miracles out of those mistakes.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for being the amazing God who can take our messes and mistakes and turn them into miracles. Thank You that You never turn Your back on me. I believe that You are working all things together for my good. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Popular sermons online

As the concept suggests, a preacher is one who practices the art of preaching. The word "preaching" is originally associated with the religious sphere of activity. Language researchers note that of all religious texts, this word - like the type of activity itself - is most closely associated with Christianity. Preachers teach Bible truths when speaking to believers or unbelievers.

Most of the Bible's sermons are in the New Testament. The sermon, as we find it in the Book of Acts and the Epistles, is expressive, but at the same time brief. It is built on the fundamental truths of Christianity: the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The preaching of the Church, in whatever form it is delivered - be it an ardent call to repentance for sins and salvation or the gospel story of a relationship with God and people - is by nature Christocentric.

Christian online preaching isn’t just a statement of spiritual truths, but as a sacred act, during which the preacher, in cooperation with the Lord the Holy Spirit, accomplishes the work of salvation for unbelieving listeners and the process of spiritual growth for the saved. Words spoken by a person cannot strengthen faith, but the biblical sermon in the mouths of preachers has a special power that can transform a person's soul. It is on this supernatural power of preaching that the preacher's authority is established.

Despite the fact that the evangelical Church teaches about the priesthood of every born-again Christian, in the work of biblical preaching, special attention is paid to the character and moral character of the preacher. The moral right to proclaim eternal biblical truths, to preach the Gospel from the pulpit or in another setting on behalf of the Church, can not only be those who know these truths, but who have Christian virtues, a character that reflects Christ. We are talking about a person who sincerely loves God and the people to whom he addresses, deeply interested in the eternal and earthly well-being of his listeners. A person with the good name of a Christian, who has a "good testimony" confirmed by time and the Church. Since we are talking about eternal, enduring truths, the writing of which was inspired by the holy God, proclaim them on behalf of the Author, i.e. of God Himself, it is permissible for the one who knows Him personally, has constant communion with Him and obeys Him implicitly. From the point of view of the essence and basis of the message that he proclaims, the preacher is not the author of his message and therefore doesn’t have the right to change the truths being proclaimed. He represents the interests and fulfills the will of the One who authorized him for this with the authority of His glorious name, and, therefore, the preacher is obliged to accurately convey to his audience what was entrusted to him by God. Freely interpreting Scripture and presenting to the audience their own interpretation of eternal biblical truths, posing as God's revelation on behalf of God, is not only a distortion of the truth, but also an ethical violation that entails consequences. However, in the sermon, it is not forbidden to mention personal experience, as well as the experience of other people, examples from various areas of public life to the extent that these examples correspond to the truth and contribute to a more accurate and understandable message of it.

Of course, in the modern world, taking into account the development of communications, a preacher is expected to possess the skills of oratory. This is not a strict requirement, but it is always encouraged, as it is an undeniable advantage and serves the greater benefit and success of the preaching work.

There are many preachers in modern Christianity who have achieved recognized success in the preaching work.
