Daily Devotional (October-20-2022) SPIRIT TO SPIRIT: FATHER TO SON.
Scripture Reference: John 4:23-25 ISV - “Yet the time is coming, and is now here, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. Indeed, the Father is looking for people like that to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” The woman told him, “I know that the Anointed One is coming, who is being called ‘the Messiah’. When that person comes, he will explain everything.”
The Bible declares God a Spirit: (John 4:24) “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”_ Worship is not just about going on a mountain as in a physical place, neither is it only crying when the worship leader is commands. (Hebrews 12:9) “Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?”_ God is called the Father of spirits. Worship is not for someone to be leading you always. It is a natural relationship from Spirit to spirit.
So therefore we can only worship Him and relate to Him from and with our spirits. We didn’t design this. The truth is we never knew until Jesus told us. (John 4:25 EasyEnglish) The woman said to Jesus, “I know that the Messiah will come. He is called Christ. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.” So not every living thing can worship can Him. Because in worshiping it takes full consciousness of you: there is a communion; there’s a relationship. That is what we call Spirit to spirit; a union of the son and Father.
(Psalms 150:6 ISV) “Let everyone who breathes praise the LORD. Hallelujah!”_ We see here that everyone that breathes should praise the Lord. There is a difference between praise and worship. Praise requires no consciousness. When you praise Him extol His majesty. However, in worship a lot goes on than praise.
Animals don’t have spirits; so they can’t worship Him in spirit: only humans can. _(1 Corinthians 6:16) “What? Know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? For two, saith he, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” When you are born again you are in union with Him: this describes our inseparable union with Him. Because of this union in worship we drink together from one source. So my dear, we are in union with God.
Confession - Blessed be God! I’m constantly refreshed by the the Spirit of God because I’m in union with Him everyday. I’m strong because I’m never alone for my life flows from Him. I’m forever supplied in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Joel Osteen (April-29-2021) Daily Devotion: Start Thinking as a Son.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: “Dear friends, now we are the children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.” 1 John 3:2, NIV
TODAY'S WORD: It’s easy to have the wrong image of ourselves. The Scripture says, “Now we are the children of God,” but too many times, we live as though we don’t deserve to be blessed because we’ve made too many mistakes and had too many negative things come against us. We live with a slave mentality to mediocrity, to guilt, to lack, to addictions.
Stop thinking as a slave and start thinking as a son. Stop thinking about what you’ve been through and the mistakes you’ve made, and start thinking about who you are. A son of the Most High God doesn’t live feeling guilty and condemned about past mistakes; he receives mercy and moves forward. A son or daughter has a boldness, a confidence. You’ll expect God’s favor. You’ll believe for doors to open for you that you don’t deserve. Why? Because you’re not a slave, or a hired worker, or a friend of the family. You’re a free child of Almighty God!
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that You have made me Your child, and I am no longer a slave. Thank You that You redeemed me, and You’re taking me forward into full freedom. I believe that I have Your favor, and the obstacles in my way will be overcome. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joseph Prince (June-10-2020) Daily Devotion: THE SON’S HEARTBEAT FOR YOU.
3 John 1:2, KJV - Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Let’s say that you are now in your nineties. Someone comes along and asks you, “Sir, you have been a Christian for a very long time. You have seen much and done much with God by your side. You have prayed all kinds of prayers too. So what would you place as top priority when you pray for people?”
I believe the apostle John was asked a similar question and his reply was, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” When the apostle John wrote 3 John, he was already a very old man and probably the only disciple of the original 12 who was still alive. It had been so long ago since he last walked alongside his beloved Lord, and witnessed His crucifixion, resurrection and ascension.
The apostle John had also leaned on the Lord’s bosom on the night of the Last Supper. And I believe that there on Jesus’ bosom, he must have felt the heartbeat of the Son of God—that loving and compassionate heartbeat which had caused Him to go about “doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil” (Acts 10:38). In fact, two-thirds of Jesus’ ministry on earth had to do with healing the sick.
And now, nearing the end of his life, and after all he had heard, seen and experienced, the apostle John prioritized, above all things, health as well as holistic prosperity. He said, “I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” He knew the Lord’s heartbeat. He knew that the Lord wants and will always want these for His people.
Jesus had prioritized divine healing during His earthly ministry. And Jesus, who is “the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8), will do the same for you today. His heart still beats for you. He will never miss an opportunity to do good to you, to heal you of your broken body, emotional scars and weary spirit, and to bless you!
