Encourage Yourself - Victoria Osteen, Sunday Sermon (September-24-2019). I hope you’ll take a moment to read David’s story in 1 Samuel 30. He had just suffered the worst defeat in his life, and the men in his army were threatening to stone him. At his lowest point of discouragement, with everyone against him, the Scripture says David “encouraged and strengthened himself in the Lord his God.” He rose up, inspired his men to fight again, and they defeated their enemy.
Watch Victoria Osteen - Sermon: The Unconditional Love of God. Because we know our Father loves us, we can have the confidence to tell Him when we make mistakes, and He will forgive us.
Victoria Osteen - Sunday Sermon: Be Faithful With The Small Things. When the Israelites were going to possess the Promised Land, God said, “Little by little I will drive your enemies out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land” (Exodus 23:30). God started small, slowly decreasing the enemies because He wanted His people to go big. He wanted them to grow their own capacity to be able to handle what He was going to give them in the future. He didn’t want the land to overtake them. He wanted them to overtake the land. God was increasing them incrementally throughout their journey. God wants to increase us, but oftentimes we overlook the small things because we want to go big.
Watch Victoria Osteen - Sunday Sermon: Put God First In Your Life. You have to put in the big rocks of your life first if you’re going to be successful. And one of the big rocks that would benefit all of us is spending time with God. Our “God rock” should be the first rock. The Scripture says, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:6). If you want God to direct your paths, if you want Him to crown your efforts with success, He says, “Put Me first.”
