Joy to the World - Joel Osteen Sunday Daily Devotion (August-25-2021).
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Psalm 16:11, NIV
TODAY'S WORD: God promises that joy is found in His presence. If you’ve accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then His presence lives inside of you. That means you can have joy 24/7!
Joy manifests when you focus your heart on the heavenly Father and praise Him for who He is and what He’s done in your life. The Scripture says that He inhabits the praises of His people. When you begin to praise and thank Him, you are in His presence. You have access to His full joy.
Today, know that no matter what’s going on around you, God wants you to experience His supernatural joy and peace at all times. That’s why He sent His Son, Jesus, into the world, so He could live inside you. Don’t waste another minute feeling burdened or condemned. Let the joy of the Lord be your strength and move forward in the victory He’s prepared for you!
PRAYER FOR TODAY: Father, thank You for an endless supply of joy. Today I choose to cast my cares on You and praise You because You are worthy. Let joy flow through me as I honor You in all I say and do in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Joel Osteen (August-11-2019) Sunday Daily Devotion: Finding Rest in a Restless World.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28, NIV
TODAY'S WORD: In this day and age, our culture has become so accustomed to having constant activity going on—computers, cell phones, television, email, video games. There’s nothing wrong with being entertained, but sometimes we have to stop and be still so we can focus on knowing God.
This is especially true during the difficult times in life. When you are facing a challenge, it’s easy to want to run to a friend or talk about it with a neighbor. But at some point, you have to stop and say, “God, I rest in You. I know You have me in the palms of Your hands.” Remember, our battles are spiritual battles. The people in your life aren’t your enemy, the forces of darkness are. When you choose to be still and know that the Greater One lives on the inside of you, you are saying to the whole world, “I trust God. He is my Defender.” When you choose to believe in Him, you will enter into His rest.
Remember, the battle belongs to the Lord. As you are still before Him, as you tune out the distractions of the world and lean into Him, you will find rest and experience His victory and blessing in every area of your life.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: Father, I humbly come to You, seeking rest for my heart and mind. I choose to be still before You. I choose to cast my cares on You. Speak to my heart so I can know You more. Fill me with Your peace as I put my trust in You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Creflo Dollar - Your World on Creflo "Left Empty". Since losing her mother, Kristi battles thoughts of suicide, depression, and anxiety. Last December, she finally attempted suicide, climbing out to leap from her bedroom balcony. She was saved by her four-year-old son who, at that moment, knocked on her door complaining of a headache. Kristi came down from the balcony, realizing her son would miss her if she was gone. Can Dr. Dollar speak God’s true grace into her life?
Tony Evans - Sermon: Loving the Wrong World. Intimacy with God can be hard to grasp. While we strive to have a personal connection with God, it often seems like a one-sided relationship. One reason for this is that many of us have developed a great love of this world and an ambivalence toward the world that is to come.
Christian Motivation - The Real You - The Light Of The World. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
Bill Winston - Sermon: Replenish Your Body - "Living on top of the World".
(3 Teachings) God has chosen you for such a time as this! In this three-part teaching, Dr. Bill Winston imparts biblical truths on why you are designed to do the impossible, and how to live separate from the world.
